n8n als erfahrener Entwickler?

After more than 20 years in software development, I was always skeptical about low-code or no-code tools. But I’ve had very good experiences with n8n. As an open-source platform with a large community, it allows me to quickly implement ideas, create workflows in the browser, and execute them immediately. Professional kitchens often use a Thermomix, so why shouldn’t developers make their lives “easier” too?

Automation made easy n8n offers a complete platform with webhooks, scheduler, user management, and secure credential storage. Workflows can be tested, planned, and deployed with a single click.

Visual transparency The graphical representation of workflows makes processes understandable for everyone. This facilitates collaboration and traceability within the team.

Quick start and templates Thanks to an intuitive interface and numerous templates, getting started is easy. Existing workflows can be easily customized without writing boilerplate code.

Debugging and monitoring n8n logs every execution, shows inputs and outputs per step, and allows retesting of faulty runs.

Conclusion n8n enables complex automations to be implemented quickly, securely, and transparently. For me, it’s a real productivity boost that allows me to focus on the core logic.

So do I use n8n for everything? NO. I have outsourced some things to FastMCP or FastAPI and call them up with n8n. Before I get bogged down in dozens of n8n code nodes, I prefer to write code the traditional way.
