I like ComfyUI and enjoy using it to generate on-device images. However, ComfyUI comes with a level of complexity that not everyone can handle. Furthermore, the models are not optimized for macOS.
The Mind Studio is now jumping into this niche with its MindCraft Studio product. It is only available for macOS and is optimized for it (MLX). It has integrated the Z-Image-Turbo and Flux.2 models in 4B and 9B. In addition, it has integrated upscaler models and a prompt assistant. Other models and LoRAs can also be added.
It is very easy to use and even runs on a small MacBook Air. Image generation is pleasantly fast (approx. 15 seconds per image on my M3 Pro). Images can also be edited with the Flux models.
